Dr. Taghrid Tahoun is a highly experienced Consultant Psychiatrist dedicated to helping children and young people with complex mental health and neurodevelopmental needs. With specialist expertise in ADHD, autism, and co-occurring psychiatric conditions, she offers compassionate, evidence-based care tailored to each child and family.

As a clinical leader, Dr. Tahoun is driving transformative changes in both NHS services and the academic training of future child psychiatrists. She is also the voice behind 'Your Friendly Child Psychiatrist' , a podcast supporting parents and professionals in understanding children’s mental health conditions. Her approach is grounded in empathy, collaboration, and deep clinical insight—making her a trusted partner for families seeking clarity and support on their child’s mental health journey.

Dr. Tahoun is a fully registered specialist with the General Medical Council and a Member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists. She holds a Master’s in Neuropsychiatry, a Postgraduate Certificate in Medical Education, and has trained across leading UK child and adolescent mental health services. She is fluent in Arabic and is able to offer consultations in both English and Arabic.
