Kelly Brightman

Kelly Brightman - CYP Supervisor

I have worked with children, young people and families for 35 years. I initially began my career in early years and primary education predominantly in London.


I have a psychology degree, and a keen interest in child development and mental health of which I moved into in 2020, where I trained as an Education Mental Health Practitioner in Low Intensity CBT mental health support for children and young people. I have worked is Mental Health Support Teams in the NHS for over 3 years and have also worked in CAMHS for over a year. I have supported children and there parents aged 4 years to 10 years, both in one to one support and group work using CBT based interventions such as parent led interventions in primary schools. I support young people aged 11 to 19 years with one to one support and group interventions in secondary and further education. I currently work as a Senior Education Mental Health Practitioner and have trained for a post graduate in Low intensity Supervision to supervise staff and support case work to give the best outcomes for the service users.
